My son, Drew, is 8 years old and has Down Syndrome. I am also a service coordinator with The Next Step. I work with individuals of all ages and developmental disabilities and their families. I have been a service coordinator for 3 years. Prior to this I worked for Family Support Medicaid for 10 years.
My primary focus for the group is to build a relationship with the area schools and supported employment programs. I would like to see us become a resource to provide information and training about Down Syndrome and related topics. I believe that our group can work with the schools and community towards inclusion and a better life for our children and loved ones.
